In "Journey to the West," the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, often says a phrase known as the "Six-Character Mantra" when enhancing his magical powers. This mantra is "Om Mani Padme Hum," which is a famous mantra in Tibetan Buddhism, meaning "The jewel is in the lotus," expressing the union of compassion and wisdom. It represents the core teachings of Buddhism, especially in Vajrayana, where it is used for practice and prayer. Sun Wukong practiced many spells, but in his quest for true wisdom and liberation, he began to engage with Buddhist teachings. The Six-Character Mantra, as one of the important mantras in Buddhism, symbolizes Wukong's journey towards a higher spiritual realm.

This long chain is made of 108 black sandalwood beads and one yellow sandalwood bead, with the aroma of sandalwood believed to help calm the mind and reduce anxiety and stress. It is often used in meditation and yoga to help people relax their bodies and minds and focus their attention. The part of the six-character mantra in Tibetan is made of white copper, and the main bead is a green turquoise shaped like a fragrant seed. The energy of turquoise is believed to alleviate anxiety and tension, helping to balance emotions and make one feel more peaceful and relaxed. Wearing turquoise aids in enhancing personal wisdom and insight, helping to clarify thoughts and make wise decisions.
